2021 Tour des Trees: Rollin’ The Rockies
We had a great ride and a great year.
Fundraising for the 2021 Tour des Trees finally concluded on October 31 and we are so very thankful for those who contributed before, during, and after our ride that started at the end of August. Our in-person ride was a great success and a marvelous five days of riding through Colorado and we were so glad that we managed to have some virtual participants join us from all around the world! The 2021 event managed to raise $250,025 in support of the TREE Fund!
We would not have been able to put this event together without the support of the TREE Fund’s Partners and we would especially like to recognize our Crown and Platinum Partners; Asplundh, Bartlett Tree Experts, Corteva, The Davey Tree Expert Company, International Society of Arboriculture, ACRT, FirstEnergy, and PECO. We would also like to give a special mention to the following groups for their support at this year’s ride: Vermeer, Rocky Mountain Chapter ISA, SavATree, Indiana ISA, Ford, and KASK.
The planning of an event like this is typically a year long process and with the uncertainty at the beginning of the year due to the pandemic, our planning committee had to work extra fast this year to help put all the aspects of the ride together. We’d like to thank the following individuals from that committee for their time and hard work: Peter Andre, Donna Davis, Steve Geist, Brett Heinrich, Thom Kraak, Ben Rickenbacker, Don Roppolo, Cindy Schwab, Laurie Skul, Dave Staats, and Tom Wolf.
Of course, there is also a little friendly competition that goes on during the ride and we would like to recognize our top fundraisers and cycling distance leaders:
