The Occurrence, Impact, and Correction of Excessive Soil over the Root System of Container-Grown Landscape Trees
20005 | T. Davis Sydnor, Ph.D, The Ohio State University
Surveys of trees on residential sites and along streets have shown that there is excessive soil over root systems on more than 50 percent of the trees. The objective of this study is to determine the effects of excess soil on the root architecture of container grown trees in order to predict future stem girdling roots after container grown trees are planted in the landscape.
