Air Excavation Sampling Effects on Fine Root Integrity

The effects of air excavation on tree fine root recovery and integrity have not been previously characterized. This study will compare roots from a variety of tree species collected by air excavation with roots collected by hydropneumatic elutriation from soil cores.
